Important Information Regarding FDIC Insurance Coverage

FDIC Insurance Coverage Increased to $250,000

Effective July 21, 2010 the current standard maximum deposit insurance amount was permanently increased to $250,000. But as always, a depositor may qualify for more than the standard maximum insurance amount at one insured bank because the FDIC provides separate insurance coverage for deposits held in different "ownership categories," such as single and joint accounts.
